MPC 6T3 Anniversary Lunch Celebrating 55 years after Graduation

           

On June 3, 2018, twenty-three graduates from MPC 6T3 and 15 guests gathered at Bodega Restaurant on Baldwin St. in Toronto, just south of our Alma Mater, to enjoy an excellent lunch and celebrate 55 years since our graduation in 1963.  We reunited with friends from our youth, reminisced about those wonderfully exciting university days and caught up on the intervening years.

The following people were in attendance:  Mikk Anyas-Weiss, Bob Boeckner (guest Dianne Lohnes), Mary Thompson Brereton, Peter Broughton, Christine Coutts Clement, John Clipsham (guest Marg Clipsham), Bob Cochrane (guest Rosemary Cochrane), Bob Field (guest Carol Field), Mel Fuss (guest Susan Fuss), Ken Hutcheson (guest Mary Hutcheson), Arnold Katz (guest Judy Katz), Frank Kimmerle, Betty Leventhal, Earl Levi (guest Sharon Levi), Tony Muc (guest Loyz Muc), Geoff Skerrett (guest Janel Boston), Joan Stevens Varley (guest Ron Varley), Gene Valeriote, Peeter Vanker (guest Carol Vanker), Garnet Watchorn (guest Irene Watchorn), Patti Hamilton Winter (guest Richard Winter), Bob Wong (guest Alice Wong), and Mike Yealland.

Unfortunately, some were unable to attend, but many expressed a desire to have a 60^th celebration.  Let’s work toward having an even greater turnout then!

BBQ on June 2^nd

A prelude to the 55^th Anniversary Lunch was a delicious BBQ supper held in Mike Yealland’s secluded back yard in Rosedale.  The meal was hosted and prepared by Mike with assistance in the serving and cleaning up provided by members of his “extended family”, Shami and Kevin.  Eight members of the class of MPC 6T3 and 5 guests were in attendance: (Alan Brereton, Mary Thompson Brereton, Arnold Katz (Guest Judy Katz), Frank Kimmerle, Betty Leventhal (Guest Barry Kay), Earl Levi (Guest Sharon Levi), Geoff Skerrett (Guest Janel Boston), and Mike Yealland (Guest Rachel Sugar).  Many thanks to Mike for the wonderful evening!
